The return of color in design is now consolidated, so much so that Scab Design has made it the poster for the MDW.
Back to colors: it is a return to chromatic emotion, where wonder is put back at the center of the scene.
Founded in 1957, today the company can boast numerous design awards with the Lisa chair and the Nemo table. Pioneer in the treatment of thermoplastic materials, it has obtained from the Bayer brand Makrolon® (today Covestro made with Makrolon®).
At the Scab Design stand at the Milan Furniture Fair, the public was able to discover 5 new seats, in addition to the range additions and re-editions.
The new seats of the Lisa collection
Backed by the successes of the public and critics (three design awards), the Lisa seat, designed by Marcello Ziliani, is now flanked by new models, designed for the outdoors, but suitable in every context.
Lisa Filò, in the chair and armchair versions, has a seat and backrest in durable nautical rope and evokes the refined atmosphere of yacht clubs or villas on the French Riviera.
Lisa Club reminds me of the garden chairs of my grandparents with the plastic tape. Of course, this chair is a thousand light years ahead, for strength and attention to detail. Light, therefore easy to move, stackable, it is perfect for furnishing even small balconies.
Lisa’s technopolymer is a very interesting project. the soft shapes, combined with the rounded edges that are lost in the structure, recall the softness of the padded versions. The painted steel frame is the same color as the seat and back in a technopolymer. Available in chair and stool version, it is suitable for both outdoor and indoor.
Finally, the beautiful Lisa Lounge, with upholstered seat and backrest, has more generous dimensions than the original which inspires it.
Lady B, the chair designed by Studio Zetas
An absolute novelty, Lady B by Studio Zetas, is designed for bars and restaurants but is also perfect for the home, office or outdoors. Available in a wide range of colors, shapes, and finishes for the structure, it can be combined in endless versions.
Emily, Kate, Natural Alice Wood, and Leo coffee table
The Emily and Kate collections, designed by Arter & Citton, are enriched with new proposals for stools and various heights, while the Alice chair is available in a natural version all in wood, Alice Natural Wood.
Finally, the reissue of the Leo coffee table was presented, launched in 2006 and inspired by the Parisian bistros.
